Evanston/Skokie District 65 has announced that Angel Turner will be taking over as interim superintendent as Devon Horton prepares to take a new position in Atlanta's DeKalb County. A news release from the school district states that Turner will be taking over starting July 1 in a full-time but temporary capacity while the district continues its search for a permanent candidate for the role. Turner has been with the district for the past three years serving as the district's assistant superintendent of schools and previously the director of literacy.
